Made in America

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.

The way of life in small town America (and larger cities too really) has changed. Downtown shops and stores used to be the biggest draw for businesses. Now all the shops have grown into big industries and moved to the suburbs. There are malls, strip malls and other large stores, and they are most often found outside of the once bustling downtown areas. And we've lost that Made in America stamp.

I know this is completely true for our town. I've only lived here 10 years, but I have seen this for myself and I hear so many things about what our downtown area used to be like. Sure there are still a few stores and restaurants downtown, but they don't get the business that they used to know. Our community has been very interested in rebuilding the downtown area and drawing more businesses in, but the fact is the draw is out of town or rather on the outskirts of town.

But here is a company who is trying to help that problem. Ramblers Way Farm is working on changing this for small towns. They source, grow, and produce their fine woolen apparel using 100% domestic resources. They are bringing their manufacturing facilities into these small towns that need the help to revitalize their communities.

Ramblers Way has their Corporate Office in downtown Kennebunk, Maine in a completely refurbished 1792 building. They've worked to restore it back to it's original condition while also keeping in mind the modernization that need to happen for today's environment standards. They have achieved the coveted Gold Lead Certification level.

I think this is a fantastic concept. It's a wonderful thing to bring life back into so many struggling communities. The way our economy has been with lost jobs and everything else, many small towns can definitely profit from a company like this. I believe keeping our historical downtowns is a great thing, and it keeps our products local with the Made in America label that appeals to me and so many others.
