Dassant Baking Mixes Review + {Giveaway 3/14} (CLOSED)

Dassant Premium Baking Mixes were started by Scotty Mac, who began in the restaurant business. He realized he was onto something when his Beer Bread was such a big hit. After a time of selling the bread, Scotty Mac figured out the business of making box mixes. The business blossomed from there. But the Beer Batter Bread Mix is still the most popular, and I can definitely see why.

We received several Baking Mixes from Dassant to try. The first thing we made was the Vanilla Bean Cake. I made them into cupcakes for my son and his friend one afternoon. The mix is easy to use. You only need a few simple ingredients (2 eggs, 1 stick of butter, and 1 cup of milk for this one). After I mixed everything together, it went in the oven to bake. I made a little vanilla glaze to go on top. These were so flavorful and moist.



The other mixes we tried were the Cinnamon Chip Bread, Classic Beer Bread and Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake. They were all very good. Everything tasted very fresh and moist. The mixes bake very well using the temperature and times they give on the box. And all are simple to mix up as well. The Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake is very indulgent with all the chocolate in it, but it didn’t seem overly sweet. It just had that perfect chocolate taste that I like in a dessert.

With a video to guide you, even if you aren’t the greatest baker you will be great with these. Also on the product pages are recipes for each mix. You can turn the Vanilla Bean Cake Mix into Rainbow Candy Cupcakes. Mmm! They have other recipe categories that you can try.

I think the Dassant Baking Mixes are perfect if you’re looking for an impressive sweet treat to take along to a get together. Your friends and family will appreciate all the work that went into your recipe. (What they won’t realize is that it’s so simple with Dassant.) I see these mixes as a must for every house. They are great to have on hand for a quick dessert or side.
