“Treasuring Emma” by Kathleen Fuller Book Review
The ways of the Amish are so different than the Englischers. In “Treasuring Emma” by Kathleen Fuller we experience how an Amish girl deals with losing her love to the world. When he comes back, how will this affect Emma? She's lived a protected life, and this is a new experience. Losing a mother is hard enough, then an old love returns to complicate her feelings.
I enjoy reading books about the Amish like this. And when the story takes me to a place that I’ve never thought about before, it’s great. The story of Emma is very relatable, even though her world is so different than mine. I wonder if I were in her shoes how would I deal with everything that she’s going through. It’s not easy, but with God on her side she can get through anything. This is a lesson that I try to live my life on.
If you enjoy Christian Fiction, you will enjoy this Treasuring Emma. It’s an Amish story from an author I’ve never read before, but I’m already looking into reading more of hers. This book is available through Amazon and at other book dealers as well.
