I received the momAgenda Desktop Calendar in purple. I love the color; it's dark and sharp looking. It contains a 17 month calendar. The current one runs August 2010 – December 2011. I like that it goes through the school year, then also finished out the next year. There are monthly calendars and weekly calendars as well. There are also bonus pages in the back for lists, party planning, and other things to help keep you more organized. One of the best features is the 4 extra slots in the weekly planner part for up to 4 kids (or husband or blogging deadlines or whatever you want to use them for), and there is even a line at the bottom to keep track of dinner plans each night.


I find the momAgenda Desktop calendar to be easy to use, efficient and perfect for me. I think any mom on the go would appreciate everything that this encompasses. I will stick with the momAgenda for many years to come. It's the best planner I've ever had.

ecoSTORE USA Review

Many people are looking for more eco-friendly way to do things in their every day life. I'm one of them too. I'm still a big work in progress though.

When I had the opportunity to work with ecoSTORE USA, I was excited. I have seen their products online and in stores too. I've always been curious to try their things, but I wasn't sure if the products would really be able to replace my existing products. Let me just saw I have been very pleasantly pleased with everything I tried from them. And I feel good about using their natural products.

ecoSTORE USA started out of New Zealand and has expanded its products to the USA. They have a variety of different products for baby care, bath & body, hair care, household and even pet care. ecoSTORE has aimed to have green products with no chemicals and a product that is affordable. They have lowered prices on many products recently, and I think the prices are reasonable for such good quality.

I had the chance to use the Laundry Powder and Dishwash Liquid from them. Both products were great. I used the Laundry Powder for about a month and just ran out. It was a bit of an adjustment for me to use powder, but I found very quickly that it's actually easier. It comes in 35.5 oz for $10.19. It cleaned our clothes well and the natural lemon verbena oil had a nice subtle scent.

I also liked the Dishwash Liquid. I wash my dishes by hand, so I need a good soap that cleans and sanitizes my dishes without being too harsh on my hands. This lived up to my standards there. The Dishwash Liquid comes in a 16 fl. oz. bottle for $5.19 and a 32 fl. oz. container for $8.50.

I was happy with the things I tried from there, and I will likely try them again, as well as other products, since I can get them at my local Meijer store. This is definitely a product that any "green" minded people will appreciate. And right now on their website they are running a fall promotion. The Rattles CD Review + {Giveaway}

Children's music has come so far. I'm constantly impressed by the new groups coming out with kid's music. It's not lullabies and boring things anymore either. It's rock and pop music. There are many great songs and groups.

One of the new children's music groups we were introduced to is The Rattles. They are "a fresh, modern fusion of classic rock and power pop." Their music is upbeat and fun.

My son loves all sorts of music. His interests are wide and varied. I love that. I like that he can have a little of everything and decide what he likes…or just like it all.

The Rattles CD "Rattle On" is all about having music that everyone can love. It's a CD that I don't mind putting on in the car. I can enjoy it with my son too. The Rattles are a cool group of animals who love making music together.

Hellmann's Virtual Sandwich Swap 'n' Share

Kids have been back to school for a few months now. Moms are well into their routines with car-pooling, shuttling kids back and forth, after school activities, homework and packing lunches. Many moms have a hard time coming up with great lunches day after day to keep the kids interested and keep them healthy too. "Hello My Name Is Hope" Program

Facebook, we're all on it. We're there to connect with friends (or sometimes just to be nosy), play games, enter contests and more. Now there is a great app that helps support a very important cause. And you can easily be part of it.

To get more attention to breast cancer awareness the "Hello My Name is Hope" campaign was started by Quill.com, a leading business-to-business online and direct marketer of office products. It's simple. They are inviting Facebook users to post and personalize virtual "Hello My Name is Hope" stickers on their profiles to honor breast cancer survivors and victims.


My family has been affected by breast cancer as many others have. My mother lost one of her closest friends to breast cancer a few years ago. Cyndi fought the disease for several years before it finally took her from us.

Thursday Blog Hops

What a crazy, busy week! We've had plenty of things going on, and in the midst of that we've started installing the hardwood flooring. Well, I say "we" but my husband it doing most of the work. I did do a lot with the demolition. Tearing up carpeting, padding, staples, and the rest was quite a job. Plus we're constantly moving furniture around to have room to work. I hope the rest goes quickly for us.

Rich Whip Review

I am not a big coffee drinker. My husband likes his coffee black. When I buy coffee creamer it's for company mostly. So it's hard to keep creamer in the house before it goes back, because it's not getting much use.

I found a good solution to that. Rich's make coffee creamer that is frozen. So I can keep it on hand, and just pull it out to thaw when I know I have company on the way.  They also make Rich Whip, which is a frozen whipped cream product. I could not find this in my local stores, so I was unable to try it.

We did try the Rich's coffee creamer. It was very easy to store in the freezer. It thawed quickly in the refrigerator, and I was able to use it then. I added it to my homemade mocha drink instead of milk. I like the creamy texture it gave my drink.  I would definitely recommend this to anyone who regularly uses coffee creamer.

Casa di Bertacchi Meatballs Review

Mmm, we love meatballs in our family. They are great for an appetizer or a meal. There are so many different recipes that you can make with meatballs too.

Casa di Bertacchi meatballs are sold in large packages at Sam's Club. And a wonderful companion to them meatballs is this cookbook- 101 Things To Do With Meatballs.  We received a copy of this cookbook from the company and rushed off to Sam's Club to buy a big bag of Casa Meatballs.

The cookbook is full of creative and yummy things to make. It has everything in it from basic meatball recipes, such as BBQ meatball appetizers, to interesting concoctions like Blue Cheese Buffalo Balls and Caesar Meatball Kabobs.

We made a few great recipes with the meatballs. I made Taco Salad with meatballs (easier than cooking ground beef/turkey like I usually do), and we had meatball subs.  Mmmm!  Everything we tried was great. I love the recipes, and the meatballs are fantastic. I will definitely purchase these again.

“Great Parents, Lousy Lovers” by Gary Smalley & Ted Cunningham Review

Parenting and marriage advice all wrapped up in one. That's what "Great Parents, Lousy Lovers" by Gary Smalley and Ted Cunningham is all about. We all need to make time to focus on our marriages. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the lives and activities of our children that we don't take the time to focus on our spouse. In "Great Parents, Lousy Lovers" Smalley and Cunningham give lots of great tips and advice about making our marriages first.

When we are happy in marriage it makes us better parents. I fully believe that and so do Smalley and Cunningham. They share what we can do to be better husbands and wives and also about teaching our kids how to be independent, so they'll be confident adults.

My husband and I are very good about putting each other first in our family. We make sure that we have weekends or evenings away now and then just the two of us. We recognize that we need that to keep our marriage in tact. And in the end we're better parents because of our great marriage.

Costume Supercenter Review

Halloween is coming. It's only 24 days away. I know that 24 days will fly by. And that's only if you're waiting until Halloween to do your trick-or-treating.

My son has a hayride/bonfire thing at a relative's house this weekend, and all the kids are wearing their costumes. Then the Wednesday before Halloween, our church is hosting a "trunk or treat" event. And we usually take him to the local mall on trick-or-treat night (Thursday here). So it looks like he'll get plenty of use out of his costume.

There are so many websites to choose from as well as stores when searching for Halloween costumes for you or your kids. We found a great one, CostumeSupercenter.com. They have a big selection of costumes for all shapes and sizes. Plus ordering and receiving the costume was simple & easy.

CostumeSupercenter.com has everything from kids & baby costumes to plus size costumes. They have categories under each section, which makes searching even easier.

We decided we'd probably want something along the lines of cartoons for Zachariah. So we did a search for boys cartoon costumes. They had a Peanuts costume, Scooby costumes, Batman, Thomas, Diego and so many more. And that was just the one category of the boys section. You can find things from biblical to pirate costumes too.

Once we narrowed it down to cartoons though, my son had to choose between the Shaggy one and Peanuts Snoopy Costume. Those were his two favorites, and I thought either would be acceptable. In the end he went with Snoopy.

The costume took less than a week to arrive to us and it came in great shape. We pulled it out of the box and Zachariah put it on right away. It's good quality and so great on him. I love it, and he does too. He wore it from about 3 days straight when it first arrived.

In the new Barney: A-Counting We Will Go DVD all Barney's friends are learning about counting. Baby Bop must learn to count, so she can play games in the park with her friends. Barney and the other kids are more than willing to teach Baby Bop her numbers. Counting is quite fun when you're playing and learning with your friends.

We enjoyed this new Barney DVD. My son loves counting and numbers. This DVD also comes with a counting Activity Book. Zachariah took that first thing and completed it cover to cover. He loves doing "school work" like that. I know preschoolers will enjoy this DVD, and if they aren't counting yet they will be after watching this one.
