Wordless Wednesday: Surprise News!

We had some exciting news in the last few weeks….

DSC_0365

Yes, indeed! I am pregnant!

And Zachariah’s going to be a BIG BROTHER!

We are all very excited. For those of you who have followed along for a long time, you know we’ve wanted another baby for years (almost 4). We were getting to the point in our lives when we’re about to call it quits. Then surprise! It happens naturally out of the blue. We couldn’t be more excited to be blessed with another baby.

It will be fun to share my adventure here with you. And I’m hoping to pitch for tons of baby products, because we’ve sold or given away most of our baby items at this point.

So, I am 7 (almost 8) weeks pregnant. My due date is March 28th. Thanks for following us in this journey and the rest to come!

Wordless Wednesday: Getaway

Matt and I had a little getaway to Shipshewana, IN for our anniversary a week ago. It was a great time for us to just relax together. We stayed at a great little bed & breakfast and enjoyed walking the property and exploring the quaint little town of Shipshewana. It was a refreshing weekend for sure.

I had fun with my new camera this week. My sister came over, and we took our boys to the little splash pad here in town. Zachariah and Easton had a blast, and I got some great photos!

Wordless Wednesday - New Camera

Look what arrived at my house yesterday! I'm so excited! I can't wait to learn more about it and start taking awesome photos. Anyone else with a DSLR want to offer pointers?

Wordless Wednesday - Another Tooth Gone

I have had a crazy few weeks. I'm trying to keep up and catch up. But I couldn't help sharing this picture of my son. Zachariah lost his 2nd tooth today! He's thrilled. I just hope the tooth fairy remembers to "stop" tonight.

So far he's made it all around the bases each time up to bat!

Wordless Wednesday – First Lost Tooth

Last night Zachariah had his first t-ball game of the season. He was all dressed up and ready to go. He had a great game! He got to home every time he was up to bat. He hit great, and he had a great play in the field.

Then on the way to dinner after the game...his tooth fell out. This is his first, so he was so excited. It wasn't even that loose (I didn't think), and it just popped right out. I hope the rest of his teeth come out this easy.

Matt thinks I'm crazy, but he looks so much older without that tooth. My baby is growing up!

Wordless Wednesday: School's Out

Tuesday was our last day of school. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. My son is officially a 1st grader! And he's ready for summer break. I hope that we find lots of fun things to do. What keeps you busy in the summer with your kids?

Wordless Wednesday: Birthday Party

My nephew and niece both have birthdays this month, so my sister-in-law decided to have one big party for both. It was fun to celebrate their 2nd and 1st birthdays. They are growing up so quickly. The funniest thing for me was watching Grace devour her piece of cake. Patrick was a little more careful with his, but he’s 2 after all. Happy Birthday!

Wordless Wednesday: Touch a Truck

Our local library has a really neat program that they do every year called Touch a Truck. I don’t know how long they’ve done it, but we’ve never been able to make it. We went this year, and I’m sad we didn’t go sooner. It was so much fun. Zachariah loved it!

All these trucks are open and ready for kids to climb in, “drive”, beep the horns, run the sirens and more. It’s an experience that they wouldn’t otherwise have. If you are local to me, you need to check this out next spring. Especially if you have little boys or girls who are fascinated with big trucks, tractors, etc, like mine always has been.

Wordless Wednesday - My Star

Last week at school, Zachariah had "Wacky Wednesday". His school is a Kindergarten only building, and they all participated. I took my grandma to have lunch with him that day. It was pretty fun to see all the crazy outfits the kids have. Zachariah has shorts on over his pants, my Halloween socks pulled up to his knees, his shirt on backwards, Daddy's tie, and his hat turned inside out. So funny.

I decided to submit his picture to our small local TV news station. They have a contest to receive a $10 gift card to a local restaurant if your photo is chosen. I sent in this picture of Zachariah. And I got an e-mail yesterday morning saying that we won, and this photo will be featured on the morning news. Fun!

We wish you a Wacky Wednesday too!

Wordless Wednesday: Easter

I hope that you had a fantastic Easter with your family. Here are a few highlights from our mostly low-key day. I'll share about our Easter dinner (with recipes) another time.

Easter service at church

Up early and hasn't spotted the hidden Easter basket...do you see it?

Easter egg hunt

Lots of eggs all for him (advantages of being an only child)

He was shoveling little chocolates in his mouth as soon as he opened eggs...until we caught onto him.
