Get the Look: Lizzy Caplan at the Golden Globes

Hitting the red carpet for the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards, "Masters of Sex" star Lizzy Caplan dazzled as the epitome of understated glamour. "Because Lizzy's beautiful dress is so structured with amazing gold beadwork, I wanted to keep her makeup relatively simple," said Burt's Bees Lead Makeup Artist Katey Denno. What I thought: I like the Carmex lip conditioner. It is smooth to put on and has a pleasant citrus flavor. It's also great for the boys in my house. They like to complain when the only things I have for lips are too girly. This is definitely something that is good to keep on hand for wintertime for those chapped lips.

What I thought: I tried a few samples of the summer collections and enjoyed them all. I tried the White Mango Chill shower gel, White Mango Chill mist,  Coconut Water Chill body lotion, Pure Paradise shower gel and Pure Paradise body lotion. They all have a great summery scent that I enjoy. I'm not a big fan of mango, so I wasn't sure what I would think of this scent. I really like it. It has a nice, light, sweet scent that I rather enjoy. It's something that I will definitely use. 

My favorite, though, by far was the Coconut Water Chill lotion. I love coconut and this was a perfectly light coconut scent. I can put the lotion on without feeling like I used too much sunscreen (you know that smell, right?). It was just enough to give the subtle coconut scent that reminds you of summer. I think I have a new favorite.

Does your skin have periods of dryness? I know mine does. Winter is worst for me. Or times when I'm washing my hands a lot. What I thought: The Pure Ice Crackle Nail Enamels are so much fun to use. I love painting my nails all the time. I started painting them more at the beginning of last year. Since then I have found so many great new polishes and finishes. It's fun trying new things. What I really like about the Crackle is I can use it over other nail polishes that I have for a fun, new look. Using different color combinations always makes it interesting and fresh.

I received blue, red and silver crackle with a white base color. These were fun with patriotic holidays. First you apply your few coats of polish as usual. Then you just apply the crackle over top when it's dry. Just wait a few seconds and you will see the paint start to crackle. It turns out a neat look in the end. I always follow up with a tough top coat to help it last. Then all done. What do you think? I have so much fun with these. What I thought: I received a few new great products to try from Mia Mariu. I tried the Mineral Eye Shadow Duo. I really like mineral make-up and this did not disappoint. It goes on really smoothly and looks great on my skin. I also thought the little applicator that came with it was perfect. One end is just right for applying the main color, and the other side has a smaller end for accenting with the second color.

The Mineral Loose Foundation is great with my skin. It is light and smooth. I don't wear a lot of foundation, because I don't like the heaviness of it. I've even tried other mineral foundations. This is probably the best foundation I've used. It truly is light and blends so well. I didn't notice that I was wearing foundation, and it gave my skin a nice, even finish that I needed. And the Perfect Blending Brush was a great way to apply the foundation. When you apply powder foundation it's important to have a nice brush to blend and smooth it on your face. This one is great for that.
