Bob the Builder: Built For Fun DVD Review & Giveaway (CLOSED)

Newly released Bob The Builder: Built For Fun DVD is packed full of can-do entertainment. Bob and his crew build a radio station and learn about contributing in their own way to it as well. Your children will see how important using recycled matters are when Bob and the other help construct a greenhouse out of recycled items.

You will enjoy the 5 new episodes on this Bob the Builder video. The episodes include "Radio Bob," "Super Slasher," "Roley Brings the House," "Silent Scoop,"and "Scrambler Gets Prepared." On the DVD are also bonus features- "Build with Bob" The Game and the "Building Buddies" Read-Along.

The episodes in this DVD are great. They are filled with all the Bob the Builders we all love: Scoop, Rolly, Scrambler and more. My son has really gotten into the games on these DVD players lately. He's finally figured out how to use the remote to play them. So the "Build with Bob" game is right up his alley.

Bob the Builder: Built For Fun DVD runs about 46 minutes long. It is targeted at 2-5 year olds. I love that boys and girls alike love Bob and the other characters. This DVD also includes a free collectible toy.

We got the Rolly toy with ours. I was a bit disappointed in the quality of this particular toy. It was all plastic and only one of the rollers moves on it, the other is meant to be stationary. Other toys we've gotten with DVDs from HIT have had nicely made metal/plastic toys. They were just a little better quality. While my son does like this toy (and it's free with the DVD), it let me down a little this time. But the video is worth it, and the price isn't any more than normal just because it includes a toy.

Garfield's Pet Force DVD Review & Giveaway (CLOSED)

Last month Garfield took the world by storm again with the release of his newest movie Garfield's Pet Force on DVD. When an evil character is trying to take over the world, who else would be there to save the day. Garfield steps in with the help of his other pals to help.

I grew up loving Garfield cartoons. And who could forget the TV show that was on then too. Garfield just celebrated his 30th birthday, and he's had so many comic strips as well as videos and more.

I was excited to see Garfield in action again. And his faithful friends were all along too. You couldn't take Garfield without a little dose of John, Odie, Nermal, and Arlene too.

I was a little disappointed with this DVD. I think it was because I remember watching Garfield on TV as a kid. This was not the same animation or even voice of Garfield that I know. But overall it was a fun movie.

My 3 year old didn't have too much to say about it. He didn't say he didn't like it (and he will if he doesn't), but he hasn't asked to watch it since either. I think this is mostly because of the target age, which is older than my son.

This Garfield's Pet Force DVD is made for children ages 6-12. The run time is 78 minutes. It also has a DVD-ROM game on it that you can use to "build your own superhero". I know kids in that age range would really enjoy something like that.

Buy It: You can get your own copy of Garfield's Pet Force in stores or online now.

Win It: I have one (1) copy of this DVD to giveaway to my lucky readers.

To enter: Leave a comment here, telling me your favorite cartoon from your childhood (or now if you want). You must also leave your e-mail address, so I can contact you when you win.

All Modern Baby Review

All Modern Baby is an online retailer that specializes in modern children's furniture and other accessories. They carry many popular brands such as Maclaren, Stokke, Bugaboo, and many others.

I love the Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair. This is a versatile high chair that also turns into a toddler chair and can be used for adults as well. I know one of these would be great in our house. It comes in so many different colors and even has a 7 year warranty.

Another thing I love from All Modern Baby is the Bugaboo - Cameleon Stroller. I would love to have an awesome stroller like this for my next baby. The bassinet is a great place for a sleeping baby to rest. When Zachariah was a baby, I loved walking around the mall with him in our stroller. It was nice for me to get out of the house and get a little exercise walking around, plus I could look for bargains on baby clothes. And the movement of the stroller always made him fall asleep, so he got a nice little nap out of the trip. This stroller would be perfect for that. I love all the colors the Bugaboo - Cameleon Stroller comes in too. Check out the orange above.

Or if you're really into modern decor, this table from ducduc is awesome. I might be willing to go more modern just so I could get this table. It is set up for families. There are booster seats and high chair seats that go with it. And the table pieces that pull out are great. Plus there is storage inside. So many options with a table like this.

If you're looking for some fun, unique baby toys for your children or for someone else, All Modern Baby has many great ones. I know the Wonderworld - Sliding Town City Themed Building Blocks would be a big hit with any toddler/pre-schooler boy. I know my 3 year old son would love it.

I especially love this little scooter from Svan. I can only imagine the fun that kids would have on this great ride-on toy. And I love the wood construction of it. It's definitely a unique and exciting toy.

I was given the opportunity to review a JJ Cole Diaper Bag from All Modern Baby. They have a big assortment of diaper bags on their site too. The JJ Cole - Mode Tote in Green Mod is a great bag. I have been thoroughly impressed with it. It has so many wonderful features to it.

I loved the large shoulder strap with a nice pad on top. And the pad moves easily, so if you adjust the bag you don't have to worry about the shoulder pad moving with it. It's big enough that you can wear it across your body comfortably. I love that I can do that, because it frees up my hands and I'm not worrying about the bag slipping off my shoulder either. Or the tote straps are just as great. They close shut with snaps at the top too. And they are long enough to comfortably carry over your shoulder. If they are not in use, they can easily tuck into the front and back pockets where you won't even notice them. Also the shoulder handle is removable for when it's not in use.

Inside the JJ Cole bag there are many pockets. I found spots that would hold diapers wipes, and so many more things. You won't have to worry about losing stuff in the bottom of this bag. Everything will have it's own place. I don't carry a diaper bag any more (except to try this one out), and I found lots of places for my items as well as my son's. His little toy cars went into one pocket, my wallet into another. In the front there are two slim pockets that I found great to use for my notepad and pen. There is also a bottle/sippy cup slot on the outside.

And the other things I loved on the inside was the key clip. You definitely don't have to worry about losing your keys in the bottom.

This bag is thin and stands tall. There are 4 metal stabilizing feet on the bottom, which are great when you're out to dinner and want the bag sitting beside you for easy access to baby items. The size and shape were perfect for me.

The JJ Cole bag also comes with stroller attachments. I love using those when I need more space in my stroller basket. The attachments are easy to put on and just unclip when you're done. Depending on how heavy your bag is, they may tip the stroller if no one is in it. But maybe it's just me that packs my bags when I have all that space to fill.

Being PVC and Phthalate free, the bag is made of great material that is easy to clean as well. And it comes in four different colors.

Be sure to check out all the wonderful children/baby items that All Modern Baby has to offer. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

**Thanks to All Modern Baby for providing the JJ Cole - Mode Tote Bag for the purpose of developing this review.**

Shaun the Sheep: Sheep on the Loose DVD Review & Giveaway (CLOSED)

Shaun the Sheep: Sheep on the Loose just arrived on video in June. This newest addition the the full episodes DVD is quite amusing.

We were just discussing these movies with our friends the other night. We laughed and went on and on about how hilarious the Shaun the Sheep DVDs are. And, as someone pointed out, we can laugh so hard from sheep who don't even speak. These little animated guys have such personality, that they don't need words to make us laugh.

In this new
Shaun the Sheep: Sheep on the Loose Shaun, Bitzer the dog, and the rest of the woolly gang have these episodes: "Sheep on the Loose", "Saturday Night Shaun", "Tidy Up", "Shaun the Farmer", "Camping Chaos", and "You Can't Stand the Heat". I think my favorite out of these is "Tidy Up". I love how out of control a simple cleaning task can be when Shaun and his gang try to help. And most mothers will know what I mean. (It's just one of those times when you step back, take a look, and think I should have just done it by myself.)

While some of the jokes go over my 3 year old's head, he still really enjoys the Shaun the Sheep videos. There is just something about these wacky, crazy sheep that captures everyone's attention. And they are always good for a laugh.

This DVD runs about 40 minutes, and it's made for fans of all ages. (They list 2-60, but why stop there?) There are also some bonus features showing how to make a pig and a behind the scenes look at creating Shaun.

Buy It: You can get your own copy of Shaun the Sheep: Sheep on the Loose in stores now or online too.

Bob The Builder: Truck Teamwork DVD Review & Giveaway (CLOSED)

With new never-before-seen episodes Bob The Builder: Truck Teamwork on DVD will be a hit with all the young ones in your family. Bob and his team are always ready for action. There are problems to solve and things to build. And with the positive attitude of Bob and his whole team, they can accomplish many things together.

Bob the Builder: Truck Teamwork has 5 fun episodes that include: Scoops' Best team Ever, Go Mr. Bentley Go, Packer's Trailer Trouble, Muck's Machine Wash, Breezy Bristle. There is also a great bonus episode of Roary The Racing Car: Roary Takes Off. (We really like Roary!) The DVD also has extras like the "We Can Do It" Read-Along and "If You Were on Bob's Team" game where you can find out which team would be best for you.

My son, Zachariah, has really enjoyed this particular Bob The Builder DVD. I'm not sure what exactly makes it more endearing than the other Bob The Builder DVDs we own, but it is a great one. He's even been running around the house quoting things from the movie: "Big Boss Benny! Big Boss Benny!". (From the "Scoop's Best Team Ever" episode when Scoop and Benny both take a shot at being team leaders.)

My favorite episode on this DVD is "Go Mr. Bentley Go". Bob's team is helping Mr. Bentley get into shape with a new workout program. They are also building workout stations all through town. Bob's team turn out to be great personal trainers. I wish they'd come get me into shape too. But the most important thing they learned that day was rest is just as good for a body as exercise.

Bob The Builder: Truck Teamwork runs almost an hour long. It is targeted at children ages 2-5. Perfect for the pre-schooler in your life.

I almost forgot...this DVD comes with a great little toy. It's Scrambler the 4 wheeler. It's a nice little toy that you kids will enjoy as well. And I love that the DVD is in a thin case for this one. Maybe that's because our DVD collection has gotten a little out of control lately. These little space savers help a lot.

Buy It: You can get your own copy of Bob The Builder: Truck Teamwork in stores now or online too.
****If you're a Bob the Builder fan, you must go look at this great deal on their website! They have 22 Bob the Builder DVDs on sale for $5 each. That's too good of a deal to pass up. I might have to grab a few that we don't already have. One of our favorites Bob The Builder ON SITE: Roads and Bridges is one of them. ****

Win It: I have one (1) copy of this DVD with toy (yay!) to giveaway to you lucky readers.

At least that's what I'd like to think. Today is my birthday! It was a fun day. One year closer to 30, but in a way I'm looking forward to a new milestone in my life. There are so many things to do because of the approaching holiday weekend. But lots of fun things to do too.

I have more reviews to come. Lots of great children's movies coming out too. Come back next week for new reviews and giveaways. Here's a preview of what's to come:

Have a fun and safe 4th of July! See you back here next week!
