Charter Laptop-a-Day Giveaway

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter. All opinions are 100% mine.

Laptop1

A chance to win a new laptop? Yes, please. A chance to win 50 laptops for the school of my choosing? Even better!

Charter is offering the chance to win 50 laptops for your favorite school with the back-to-school program. They've already given away a hybrid car, a Camero, and HGTV-A-Day for an entire month, free laptops, and more in the past. So this new giveaway is a way to give back to the community. This is something that everyone will love.  Plus you can also sign up to win a laptop for yourself at the same time.

I logged into the laptop-a-day giveaway, and it was so easy to do. You can simply register on their site to be entered to win the laptop. In order to enter the giveaway for the 50 laptops for your favorite school, you have to be able to get their services where you live. But it's all easy to do on their website.

Here's more about the contest. First of all when you order Charter service online, you are automatically entered to win up to $300 back...be sure to check that out.  It's easy to nominate your favorite school. You can simply nominate a school by Aug. 12th by entering the school name, address, your information, then write a short essay about why you are nominating them.  Charter is picking 50 finalists on Aug. 16, your friends and family can vote for them from Aug. 16- Sept. 20, and the two winning schools will be announced on Sept. 27.

So, go enter the laptop-a-day giveaway for yourself and your favorite school now. And don't forget to check out Charter on Facebook too!

The last Friday in July

Our weekend plans include a trip to the Ohio State Fair. This is the first time that we've taken Zachariah, and I can't wait to see what he thinks. There are so many great things to do, I'm sure he'll have a wonderful time.  What do you have on tap this weekend?

This is the last weekend to sign up for the $100 Swimsuitsforall.com gift certificate. Make sure to get in on the giveaway now!

Neutrogena UltraSheer(R) Liquid Sunblock Review

I recognize the danger in sun exposure. I try to protect my skin and be cognizant of that. Do I always remember to put on sunblock? No.

In fact at the beginning of each summer I always forget. And even when I do remember, it's easy to have it washed off from sweat when I'm working hard outside or from swimming in the pool. This is especially true for my face and chest. I always burn something.

When I saw the chance to try Neutrogena UltaSheer(R) Liquid, I knew it would be a good thing to check out. It's made specifically for the face and other parts of the body. But it's lightweight and spreads easily, so you won't see it on our face.

I tried it out as soon as I got it. I like that it is lighter than most sunblocks. It really does go on like water, like they say. But I also found that it still gave my face that "oily" feeling like I get with sunblocks. I don't even like to wear full foundation (especially liquid), because it makes my face very oily looking. I have not found something that doesn't do this to me. Unfortunately this sunblock is the same way.

I do like it for outdoor use though. When I'm going out in the sun any time, I really want to make sure that my face is protected. With an SPF coverage of 70, my face shouldn't be getting too much sun.

The Neutrogena UltraSheer(R) Liquid did protect like it was supposed to, but I had to be careful to reapply whenever I got sweaty or wet.

All in all, I think it is a good product for me. I wish it was a little less oily, but I'm not sure with my skin I'll ever find something that doesn't feel this way. I appreciate the coverage it gives and how easy it is to apply.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter. All opinions are 100% mine.

Ondemand-1

Do you like the ability to watch television shows whenever you want? How about movies available at all times? Or kids shows whenever you need them? All this is possible with Charter On Demand.

With the On Demand home page you can see all the things that they offer. It's not just movies anymore. When I think of On Demand, I tend to think about ordering new movies at my fingertips. While that's definitely a good thing, there are so many more things that Charter On Demand offers.

There are many things available with On Demand, such as children's shows, workout videos, concerts, cooking shows, and other specialty shows as well.  And the best part is this is all available when you want it. It's at your convenience and not the television networks' schedules.

I like the show Bethenny: Getting Married? and it is currently be offered with On Demand. I love that I can catch up on some of my favorite television shows so easily.

On Demand is a popular service, and I can see why. There are so many options for adults, families, and children alike. Where else can you get what you want with thousands of choices at a moment's notice? I can't think of anywhere else.  If you like what you're hearing here, You will ‘Like’ their Facebook page as well.

The Edge of Divine by Sandi Patty Review

Sandi Patty is well-known for her impact in the Christian music world. Her voice has left an impression in many people's lives. But like any other person, Sandi has been through a lot in her life. One of the most pivotal things is her battle with obesity. Through determination and mostly strength through God, she is learning to overcome her battle with the bulge. In "The Edge of Divine" she shares her story and inspires her readers to find those life changing moments and make the most of them with their faith in God.

I have admired Sandi Patty since I was a young girl singing along with her "Love in Any Language" and other great songs with my Walkman. Now as an adult, and an overweight woman to boot, he words in this new book inspire me and my journey with my weight problems and my walk with God.

"The Edge of Divine" is a wonderful story about what Sandi Patty has been through in her life. It's also a great example of where faith can lead us. God is there in the big definable moments in our lives, and He's there ready to bring us through the tough times. I really enjoyed this book mixed with stories and inspiration. Anyone in similar situations can relate to many things shared here.

Buy It: "The Edge of Divine" by Sandi Patty is available from book sellers everywhere or online through Amazon and others as well.

*Disclosure: I was not paid to post this, but a product was provided to me for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.*

KinderCare Learning Centers Blog Tour

Not that long ago I was introduced to KinderCare Learning Centers. I saw them all over when we were traveling recently. I had heard of them, but not seen them because there is not one in our area.

KinderCare Learning Centers are for all sorts of children from infants through school-aged kids. They have 1600 centers nationwide and offer personalized care and education for children.  They have low teacher to student ratio, which as an educator I know it very important.

KinderCare Learning Centers specialize in age-appropriate activities and learning opportunities for Infants, Toddlers, 2 year olds, 3-4 year olds, prekindergarten and kindergarten, plus they offer before and after school care, enrichment programs and summer camps. They have over 40 years of experience in childcare and education, so you will have confidence that your children are in good hands.

A nationwide survey showed that 76% of parents are most concerned that their school of choice employs quality and passionate teachers and 80% want to know that their child is excited to take part in activities while at school. I know that I'm in those high percentages when it comes to my child. It is unfortunate that we don't have a KinderCare Learning Center here for me to check out (that's what it's like living in a smaller town). It sounds like just the place for my son. He is 4 years old and will be entering kindergarten in just over a year from now. So far he's only been under my care. When I send him off to school, I want to know that it's the right fit for him. He's a bright kid, and I want to make sure that his learning is taken seriously. And most of all I want him to be in a safe, loving, friendly environment.

Be sure to check out KinderCare Learning Centers website to learn more about what they can provide for you and your family. You can also check to see where the nearest center is to you.

*I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of KinderCare Learning Centers and received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.*
