We hear from dentists how important it is to teach children about oral care at a young age. When their first teeth pop through, we are told to wipe their mouths out before bed. And when they are a little older with more teeth, we start to use a safe toothpaste and little toothbrush to brush those tiny white buds. And a few years later they are learning to brush their own teeth and take care of their own teeth.
Tooth brushing can be a chore with children. What can we do to make it just a little more fun? I've learned a few different tricks over the years. First, fun products make it more fun for kids. Second, let your children choose their own supplies when you go to the store. Even if you want them to choose the cheaper brand (or one that you have a coupon for), let them choose between the two available styles or varieties. And finally reward them for doing a good job taking care of their teeth. When my son went through the Terrible Twos and didn't want his teeth brushed, I found an appropriate bribe for him. If he cooperated and nicely let me brush his teeth, he got to pick out a sticker. We did this at the end of each day. He loved choosing a new sticker & his teeth were healthy and clean. Win win!
When looking for fun oral care products you'll find a character that your kids will love with the Thomas & Friends Arm & Hammer Spinbrush Battery Operated Toothbrush and Orajel Toddlers Training Toothpaste with Thomas.

My son has been using the Thomas & Friends Arm & Hammer Spinbrush Battery Operated Toothbrush and Orajel Toddler Toothpaste for a while now. He is in love with the tooth brush especially. He's learning to do a better job brushing his teeth now that he's a bit older. And I think with the spinbrush he gets better coverage while he's brushing. And brushing is definitely more fun with Thomas & Friends helping him.
You can find Thomas & Friends Arm & Hammer Spinbrush Battery Operated Toothbrush and Orajel Toddler Toothpaste in stores all over and at Amazon as well.

Of course I like that it's a character my child will recognize immediately and want to play with. However, what I LOVE is how the products are so appropriately geared toward the toddler. Makes brushing teeth more fun, rather than something that has to be endured.
