I usually like to get my Christmas decorating started right after Thanksgiving. We had too much going on last weekend, though, and I was not in the mood to get started. I've spent this week getting myself ready to put things up, even if I wasn't completely in the spirit of Christmas yet.
So this afternoon my son and I drug out all the Christmas decorations and tree. We put on some Christmas movies to watch while we were decorating. And I have to say the end results look good. I don't have the rest of my Christmas knick-knacks and decorations done quite yet, but at least we have a great start.
How soon do you put up your decorations? Do you go all out or like to keep it simple?

such a beautiful tree! We are getting ours tomorrow!! I already decorated the house though :)
I love your christmas tree. We have a very small apartment so our tree is a little 4 footer haha.
I love Christmas time esp. with kids! Your tree looks great!
LOVE your tree! it's so classy. I convinced SO to let us have a funky tree this year but I want to change it up next year. yours is beautiful!
I wanted to get started decorating tonight, but right now we have a big 'ol futon that we took out of our office sitting in the living room and I need to get that out of the way first!
I love your tree - it kind of looks like mine! I put the little red bows on ours too :) I need to finish up inside the house, but got all the outside out and the tree - just LOVE the Holidays and love your photo's.
So very pretty ! Your stockings look like ours! We have a family tradition of going to a tree farm every year the sunday after Thanksgiving. Family tradition! Thank you for sharing your tree with us!
I love the tree...we don't put a tree up every year....sometimes we just use a table tree. I was in the Xmas spirit last week but not this week for some reason...odd.
I am pretty sure the pattern for those stockings are the same one my ex-mother-in-law used to make my 2 sons. My daughter wasn't her grandchild so she has a Mickey Mouse one and I have wanted to get her a new one-but she says NO...that my tradition. (she is 15 now).
